Creative Flair at Light House Designer Maker Fair

Flair, Light House’s Designer Maker Fair will take place on Saturday 23 June from 11am-4pm in the courtyard of the historic Chubb Buildings in Wolverhampton.

Artists and Designer Makers from all over the Midlands will be exhibiting a wide range of distinctive and unique pieces featuring a variety of disciplines including photography, ceramics, textiles, glass and jewellery.

The fair aims to showcase the creative talent within the region and offers visitors an original shopping experience, with a chance to meet and talk to the designer makers themselves.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Event organiser Lindsay Wiggin says, “Flair is becoming a regular and successful event on Light House’s calendar and with over forty stalls it offers visitors the perfect opportunity to purchase exceptional, one-off hand-made art and contemporary craft pieces that you wouldn’t necessarily find on the high street. In June we will also have a number of graduates from Wolverhampton School of Art and Design who will be exhibiting and selling pieces before they travel down to London for the prestigious New Designers event, so it is a great opportunity to buy work from the next generation of designers.”

Wolverhampton based artists to be exhibiting at the fair include graphic designer Louise Carrier who produces a unique range of prints, cards and bookmarks, Celine Appleyard who produces distinctive ceramic homeware and Claire Buchanan who makes beautiful crochet jewellery.

Lock Works café bar will be open all day serving fresh hot and cold food and a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks. For more information contact Light House on Tel. 01902 716055 or email.:info@light-house.co.uk
